The vertical stud splice consists of an internal one-and-a-half-inch flange track sleeve matching the stud size and gauge, with a minimum thickness of sixteen gauge. The connection is fastened using sixteen number-ten sheet metal screws spaced at four inches on center on each side of the splice. The splice is positioned away from mid-span as required.
