A structural steel connection features a full-depth shear tab welded to the supporting member and bolted to the supported beam web with high-strength bolts. The bolt configuration specifies eight seven-eighths-inch high-strength bolts for W24x and larger beams, or six seven-eighths-inch high-strength bolts for W21x and smaller beams, installed with a three-inch gauge. Grade 50 plates are sized one-by-eight inches at W24x and larger members, and three-quarter-by-six inches at W21x and smaller members, featuring a slot at the web. Floor deck types A and C are noted as not shown, with clearances verified against the architectural drawings. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size are specified with staggered spacing of four inches at twelve inches and eight inches at the end.
