An open-face concrete curb and gutter assembly rests on a four-inch minimum aggregate base and prepared soil subgrade. The overall curb and gutter profile measures twelve inches in total depth at the back of the curb, with a gutter pan width of two feet and a gutter thickness of five and a half inches. The top back edge features a one-half-inch radius tooled edge, and the transition between the curb face and gutter pan utilizes a two-inch radius. A one-and-a-half-inch radius rounds the top front edge of the curb, which slopes downward at a one-to-three batter. Finish grade and prepared soil backfill abut the rear of the curb to a depth of six inches.
