New hollow structural section collectors are mounted on each side of the wide flange beam web at the grid line. A quarter-inch fillet weld attaches the hollow structural sections with a staggered four-twelve spacing typical at each hollow structural section. Additional quarter-inch fillet welds secure the connection assembly.
