A cold-formed metal stud wall meets a concrete-filled metal deck perpendicularly with a half-inch typical gap maintained between the top track and the underside of the deck. A continuous eighteen-gauge plate spans the width as required to contact three low deck flutes and is secured with shot pins at sixteen inches on center at each edge of the deck. Metal studs connect to the slotted track using number ten self-tapping sheet metal screws at sixteen inches on center. Shot pins are installed at sixteen inches on center where the anchor aligns with the low deck flute, utilizing one shot pin at sixteen inches on center.
