A steel truss web frames into a horizontal truss chord using ASTM A572 Grade 50 gusset plates. A two-inch thick by seventeen-inch gusset plate features a slot one-eighth inch maximum wider than the internal gusset, paired with seven-eighths by seven and one-half inch by one-foot five-inch plates on each side. Truss webs connect to the assembly with welded clips and fillet welds sized five-sixteenths, seven-sixteenths, and nine-sixteenths of an inch. Dimensions establish a vertical clearance of two feet four inches and a horizontal spacing of three feet nine and seven-eighths inches.
