Various structural steel moment and shear connections for wide-flange beams and wide-flange columns comprise this assembly. Top-level beam-to-column connections include complete joint penetration welds, continuity plates matching the beam flanges, double plates at webs, and erection tabs. Intermediate level frame beam-to-column connections feature weld access holes per AISC Specification J1.6 and specified fillet and complete joint penetration weld sizes. A typical wide-flange column splice detail incorporates a splice plate with three-quarter-inch erection bolts and fillet welds along three sides, set eight feet above the finished floor.
