An angle L3x3x1/4 provides slab support on all sides of the column where the standard deck support is interrupted. A structural steel beam per plan connects to the column with a designated connection. A typical three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures components as indicated. The metal deck spans in the designated direction around the column centerline.
