Half-inch by one-and-a-half-inch plates are welded to each flange with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds, aligned top of steel with the dowels. Continuous edge bars and dowels reinforce the slab edge around the column profile. Slab reinforcement is omitted for clarity with references provided to companion deck support details.
