A cold-formed steel stud wall assembly intersects a concrete slab on metal deck and a structural steel floor beam. Six-inch cold-formed steel studs spaced at sixteen inches on center frame the exterior wall above and below the floor line, supporting exterior metal panels per the architectural drawings. A one-inch minimum vertical slip connection per the cold-formed steel designer accommodates vertical deflection at the slab edge. The concrete slab and supporting beam are sized per plan, with the slab edge matching detail requirements from sheet S-506.
