A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a gusset plate welded to a steel column and its base plate at the concrete foundation. Stiffener plates are installed near side and far side on the steel column as required by the brace design. A concrete block-out in the concrete slab on grade surrounds the column base and foundation connection. Anchor bolts and base plate sizing details are referenced to the structural elevations. Weld symbols specify the required fillet or groove welds for the gusset plate and stiffeners.
