Concrete over metal deck bears on a wide flange steel beam with the corrugations oriented perpendicular to the member. Shear studs weld through the metal deck to the top flange of the beam at a maximum spacing of twenty-four inches. Deck fasteners or welds secure the metal deck where no stud is provided. Additional studs are placed at the ends to meet the number required in brackets. The maximum overhang past the centerline of the girder or face of the column is twelve inches.
