Trench excavation runs parallel to building foundations maintaining a minimum ten foot clearance from the footing edge. The bottom of the trench excavation must not extend below the specified slope line. Backfill is placed per soils report recommendations. The contractor remains responsible for shoring, sheathing, and maintaining excavation sides to prevent cave-ins until backfill completion.
