A skin bracing angle connects to a square plate welded beneath a composite steel deck assembly. The 3/8-inch by 16-inch square plate attaches to the concrete slab using four 5/8-inch diameter embedment bolts or expansion anchors positioned specifically at the bottom flute of the steel deck. A 1/4-inch by 5-inch square plate is welded to the larger plate with 3/16-inch fillet welds, providing the connection point for the skin bracing angle. The angle is secured with 3/16-inch fillet welds as detailed on the drawing.
