An 18-gauge steel plate is fastened to a corrugated metal roof deck using number 10 sheet metal screws spaced at six inches on center in each direction. A vertical pipe sleeve passes through the plate and deck assembly. The plate surrounds the sleeve opening to stabilize the penetration through the roof deck profile.
