A reinforced concrete grade beam supports a concrete slab on grade with variable edge dimensions as sized per plan. The grade beam contains top, bottom, and added longitudinal reinforcing bars enclosed by stirrups specified in the schedule, with number five bars at each face spaced at twelve inches on center required for depths greater than thirty inches. Two number four dowels spaced at sixteen inches on center with twelve inches of embedment tie the slab into the grade beam. Additional reinforcing extends into adjacent pile caps per typical grade beam details.
