A six-inch concrete wall pit provides the structural recess for a loading dock leveler. The clear span measures six feet two inches wide and requires verification with the equipment manufacturer. Reinforcing steel is placed within the cast-in-place concrete walls and base slab resting on compacted subgrade. Edge angles protect the top corners of the concrete pit from impact during loading operations.
