A vertical slip connection ties a concrete slab on metal deck to cold-formed steel framing. The assembly features six-inch cold-formed steel studs spaced at sixteen inches on center alongside an eight-inch expansion joint. A continuous galvanized two-by-two-by-one-quarter-inch angle is welded with quarter-inch welds. A one-inch minimum vertical slip connection is provided per the cold-formed steel designer specifications.
