A steel joist bears against a concrete tilt-up wall panel using an embedded WT5x7.5 structural tee with four number six weldable rebar anchors placed on alternate sides. An underlying four-by-four-by-three-eighths-inch steel angle, eight inches long with a one-half-inch stiffener plate at the center, provides additional support beneath the joist shoe. A separate one-half-inch by seven-inch by four-inch long steel bearing plate with two number six by forty-eight-inch long weldable rebar anchors is embedded at the base of the connection. The joist manufacturer designs the shoe to transfer a seven and a half kip load, welded with quarter-inch and five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides as detailed.
