Reinforcement configuration for a thickened slab-on-grade edge. A standard hook rebar sits within the thickened section with three inches of clearance from the vertical face. Horizontal slab-on-grade reinforcing maintains one and one-half inches of clear cover from the top surface. The assembly provides development of the reinforcement within the thickened concrete edge.
