Reinforcement requirements for a cantilevered concrete slab with a maximum cantilever span of two feet. One number four bar is placed top and bottom typically, supplemented by an additional four-foot-long number four bar top and bottom at the transition. Additional reinforcement for cantilevers exceeding two feet must be verified per the architectural plans.
