Foundation footings bear on engineered structural fill extending down to native soils per plan and the soils report. The footing width equals its depth, with a minimum six-inch clearance below finish grade. Backfill slopes away from the structure, and a vapor barrier is placed over a free-draining granular base beneath the slab.
