Beam top and bottom reinforcing bars overlap by lap length "Ld" or a minimum of twelve bar diameters or twelve inches, with offset joggles limited to a maximum slope of one to six and a maximum offset of one inch. Column vertical reinforcement laps with a one-and-a-half-inch maximum separation or wired in contact.
