A concrete wall bears on a continuous concrete footing with a concrete slab on grade abutting the wall via an expansion joint filler material. Vertical wall dowels extend from the footing into the concrete wall to match the vertical reinforcement above, set with a one-quarter inch roughened surface at the cold joint. The concrete slab on grade thickness and finish elevations are sized per architectural drawings, maintaining a minimum thirty-inch dimension from the top of the wall to the bottom of the footing assembly.
