A built-up header framing connection to double jamb studs in cold-formed steel construction. The header consists of a 600T150-43 or 358150-43 top and bottom track secured with number 10 screws at 6 inches on center to each 600S162-43 flange and number 10 screws at 12 inches on center to each web, with 600S162-43 members placed on each side. The header web is bent at the ends with 4 number 10 screws typically at the top and bottom, and an extended web connects to the jamb studs using 8 number 10 screws on each side. Additional framing includes studs on top of the header and added 600S162-43 studs at 6 inches for the wall or 358S162-43 at 3 and 5/8 inches for the wall.
