An angle measuring 3x2x3/8 inches with a minimum long leg horizontal connects to structural steel framing. A one-quarter-inch plate is welded to the moment plate using one-quarter-inch welds spaced at 3 to 12 inches. Vertical fastening elements secure the layered steel plates to the supporting member flange. A 2-inch dimensional clearance is maintained between adjacent components in the alternate configuration.
