This connection features a Corebrace buckling restrained brace gusset plate assembly integrated into a steel beam and hollow structural section column frame. The buckling restrained brace is bolted to a gusset plate that aligns with the beam-to-column workpoint. Stiffener plates are provided on both the near side and far side of the beam web as required by the brace configuration. The steel beam is connected to the column via a separate bolted shear connection, with specific detailing referenced on a separate sheet. The roof deck sits atop the steel beam assembly.
