A structural beam frames into a rigid frame column web for W16 and deeper beams. Continuity plates are provided inside the column flanges per typical details. The shear plate extends down to the bottom-most continuity plate and uses unslotted holes. The beam web connects to the shear tab using standard fasteners sized per structural schedules.
