The steel screen wall column is anchored to a 1-3/4-inch-thick Grade 50 Type T3 steel base plate using 7/8-inch-diameter Grade 105 bolts. The base plate bears directly on a structural steel beam that supports a steel deck. Beam web stiffener plates or beam connection plates are welded to each side of the beam web with seven-sixteenth-inch and three-sixteenth-inch welds, along with a typical three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld and a complete joint penetration weld. A steel angle brace is connected to the web assembly as sized per plan.
