An HSS4x4x1/4 hollow structural section tube spans vertically as a jamb, with a matching HSS header crossing the opening. The top connection utilizes L5x5x5/16 structural angles at each face of the tube, welded to the bottom of the floor beam and fastened with one three-quarter-inch diameter machine bolt featuring a two-inch vertical slot to the tube. When the roll-up door does not align with the floor beam, an additional W8x10 cross beam is provided. The base connection uses a half-inch by eight-inch by eight-inch base plate anchored with four five-eighth-inch diameter Simpson anchor bolts with a two-inch embedment. All welded connections feature one-quarter-inch typical fillet welds.
