Hollow structural section columns are slotted to receive shear plates, allowing larger beams to bear on continuous shear plates welded per schedule. Welds connect the shear plates to the structural steel columns and beams as indicated in the typical details. Multiple framing configurations are shown including three-sided and four-sided connection conditions.
