The reinforcing layout for a concrete pier section consists of twelve number 8 vertical reinforcing bars with ninety-degree hooks extending into the footing, enclosed by number 4 ties spaced at three inches on center at the top and six inches on center for the balance of the pier. The pier dimensions are four feet wide by eighteen inches thick, with the top of the pier elevation referenced per the structural plan.
