A hollow structural section steel tube beam bears directly onto the top of a vertical steel tube column. The structural connection is secured by a field weld indicated at the intersection of the beam bottom flange and the column top. The hidden edges of both tubular steel members are shown with dashed line styles to represent internal framing geometry.
