Steel truss web members frame into top and bottom chords using one half-inch thick extended shear tab and three seven-eighths inch diameter A325 bolts typically. The chord members consist of structural steel beams sized per plan, reinforced with three-eighths inch stiffener plates welded at the joint locations. The web members connect directly to the extended shear tabs to transfer shear loads efficiently across the truss assembly.
