A structural steel column and continuous beam intersection features diagonal buckling-restrained braces connected via pins and gusset plates designed per the manufacturer. Twelve-millimeter web stiffeners are welded to each side of the column web typically, and twenty-millimeter stiffeners with ten-millimeter fillet welds reinforce the beam-to-column joint. The gusset plates maintain a fifty-millimeter clearance to the slab, and a chamfer is applied per the manufacturer requirements. Bolted beam splice connections are located outboard of the gusset plate assembly on either side of the column. Brace and pin connections are provided by others.
