Non-moment frame column connections utilize wide flange columns with stiffener plate configurations dependent on flange width dimensions. For columns with flange widths less than 200, clip stiffeners are provided as required with stiffeners flush with the column flange typically. For columns with flange widths 200 and wider, stiffeners are placed flush with the column flange typically with specified clearance dimensions K1. Fillet welds of size 8 are applied typically at the connection interfaces as indicated.
