This structural steel chord splice assembly connects aligned structural shapes using bolted outside flange plates on the top and bottom along with a web plate. The outside flange plates are secured with through-bolts spaced at two inches typically, referencing specific installation notes. A web plate of thickness t1 is bolted across the member web centerlines. Outside flange plates of thickness t2 are applied to the top and bottom flanges. All fastener assemblies and plate dimensions conform to the referenced structural notes.
