This assembly utilizes a two-inch by two-inch clip angle to connect a cold-formed steel joist or rafter to its supporting member. The clip angle is specified with the same gauge as the minimum member gauge, with a total length equal to the joist depth minus one-half inch. Three number ten screws are installed at each leg on both sides of the angle as a typical connection. The clip angle is applied to one side of the joist or rafter as indicated by the detail reference.
