A thickness transition in a post-tensioned concrete slab. The assembly features post-tensioned concrete slab sections sized per plan with embedded post-tensioning tendons. Four number 4 bars run continuously in the top of the slab, supplemented by number 4 bars at six feet long spaced at twelve inches on center. Bottom slab reinforcing is sized per plan with a lap splice at the transition step. Support bars are provided as required to maintain reinforcing steel placement.
