A structural steel plate girder cross section defines overall depth d, web depth dw, flange width bf, flange thickness tf, and web thickness tw. Flanges are welded to the web with specified fillet or groove welds indicated by weld symbols referencing the plate girder schedule. Plate sizes and weld sizes are determined per the project schedule.
