Suspended hangers and seismic bracing attach directly to wide-flange structural steel beams supporting concrete fill over metal deck or metal deck alone as occurs. The left detail shows a hanger connection supporting a maximum offset hanging load of fifty pounds or a maximum concentric hanging load of six hundred and fifty pounds. The right detail shows seismic bracing attached to the beam web using a one-half-inch machine bolt and fitting located clear of the k distance. Bracing is strictly prohibited from attaching to the wide flange except as specifically indicated on the drawings.
CLEAR OF K DISTANCE LOCATE 1/2" M.B. & FITTING TYP. HANGER TYP. BRACING CONCRETE FILL OVER METAL DECK OR METAL DECK AS OCCURS DO NOT ATTACH ANY BRACING TO WF EXCEPT AS INDICATED SEISMIC BRACING FROM SUSPENDED ITEMS MAX. OFFSET HANGING LOAD=50# HANG LOAD GREATER THAN 50# CONCENTRICALLY MAX. LOAD=650# METHOD OF ATTACHMENT/SUPPORT FROM STRUCTURE
