The steel stair stringer terminates at a concrete stair footing with a three-eighths-inch-thick end plate welded to the stringer with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld on three sides. The assembly is anchored to the footing using an L3x3x3/8-inch by zero-foot-six-inch angle secured with two five-eighths-inch-diameter expansion bolts at a four-inch gage with a minimum four-inch edge distance.
