Cold-formed metal framing attaches to structural steel columns using quarter-inch diameter self-tapping screws at a maximum spacing of twenty-four inches on center. The continuous wall condition fastens metal studs directly to opposite sides of round pipe columns and rectangular hollow structural section columns. The corner condition integrates an eighteen gauge minimum stud spacer sized to match the stud as required, secured with self-tapping screws. Metal studs are sized per plans for the specific framing layout.
