A cantilever wide flange beam connects to the strong axis of a wide flange column using a three-quarter inch thick cap plate sized to the beam flange width. Full depth shear and stiffener plates are provided on each side, with thickness based on the cantilever beam size. A five-inch gauge and four five-eighths inch diameter machine bolts are arranged on standard wide flange beam gauge. Welds are specified as one-quarter inch fillets, with no welds required at the wide flange curved fillets. A perpendicular wide flange beam is noted not to be shown, requiring a wide flange bracing connection per standard details.
