A concrete floor slab supports a CMU wall with continuous reinforcing bars and vertical dowels anchored into a thickened slab section. Two continuous number five reinforcing bars run horizontally through the slab on grade, with elevated slab construction remaining similar. Vertical dowels matching the wall reinforcing extend upward with a forty-eight bar diameter lap splice and feature alternate hooks embedded in the slab. The masonry wall includes cells reinforced per the structural schedule.
