A structural corner connection between precast concrete wall panels utilizes embedded steel plates and welded reinforcing in plan view. The connection incorporates a 1/2-inch by 8-inch by 1'-4" plate with three number 6 reinforcing bars at 6 inches on center, alongside a 1/2-inch by 5-inch by 1'-4" plate with three number 6 bars at 6 inches gauge. An additional 3/4-inch by 2 1/2-inch by 1'-1" plate ties into the assembly. Field welds, including 3/8-inch and 1/4-inch typical welds, secure the embedded steel elements. The joint is subsequently grouted after welding, with 4x4-W2.1xW2.1 welded wire fabric providing additional reinforcement within the concrete elements.
