A steel column supports a 1 1/4 inch thick by 24 inch by 24 inch cap plate secured with a 5/16 inch fillet weld. A steel joist girder and a haunched attachment beam bear onto the cap plate, with the joist girder utilizing a 7 1/2 inch deep bearing with two 3/4 inch diameter A325 erection bolts. An adjacent 12 1/2 inch deep joist bearing is connected with two 3/4 inch diameter A325 erection bolts. A 3/8 inch by 6 inch by 2 foot 0 inch tie plate spans across the members and is welded with 1/4 inch fillet welds.
