Steel studs are spaced at sixteen inches on center per schedule unless noted otherwise, with no punchouts permitted within six inches of the stud end. A continuous track with one and one-half inch deep legs matches the stud gauge at a forty-three mil minimum. Each stud is fastened to the track with number ten self-tapping sheet metal screws on each side. Jamb studs sized per schedule connect to the header where track flanges are cut and turned down, secured with two number ten self-tapping sheet metal screws on each side. This detail applies to interior non-bearing wall openings up to four feet wide maximum.
