A standard twenty-four-inch concrete curb and gutter profile is cast over select fill. The total overall width measures twenty-four inches, with a twelve-inch overall height at the back of the curb and an eight-inch height at the outer edge of the gutter. The curb profile features a six-inch top width with three-quarter-inch radius rounded edges at the top corners and gutter intersection. A contraction joint is located two inches above the bottom of the section, positioned typically across the depth. The installation requires select fill compacted beneath the entire concrete section per APWA standards plan number 205.
