This structural section details a steel loading dock stair assembly featuring MC12x10.6 channel stringers and framing. The stair treads and landings are supported by angle framing using L 2"x2"x3/16" members welded with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld at two inches on center. A three-sixteenths inch plate cap sits atop an HSS 4"x4"x1/4" structural steel tube post, which is anchored to a reinforced concrete dock. The handrail system consists of a one and one-half inch outside diameter painted pipe handrail positioned at thirty-six inches high, supported by five-eighths inch diameter bent rods and multiple rails. An auxiliary plate measuring one-quarter inch by two inches is centered on the channel web.
